BugFatal Times — Privacy policy

This policy applies to the BugFatal Times application (package com.bugfatal.times), distributed on Google Play. It describes every piece of data the application handles.

1. Publisher

Julien Quillien, independent developer, publisher of the application. Contact: contact@bugfatal.com.

2. Summary

BugFatal Times collects no personal data, transmits none, and works entirely offline.

The app has no user account, no sign-up, no advertising, no in-app purchases, and includes no analytics or crash-reporting library. Nothing the child does in the app leaves the device.

3. Data collected

None.

The app accesses none of the following categories of data, and never asks for permission to: identity, email address, phone number, contacts, location, camera, microphone, personal photos or files, calendar, advertising identifiers, device identifiers, call or message logs, health data, financial data.

There is no BugFatal server for the app to connect to: there is therefore, physically, no data to collect, store or sell.

4. Data kept on the device

So that progress is not lost between sessions, the app saves the following locally, in the private storage area Android reserves for it:

• progress through worlds and levels, and stars earned;
• in-game currencies (coins, gems, keys), chests and badges unlocked;
• practice statistics per multiplication table, time records and daily streaks;
• preferences: chosen language, sound, vibration.

This information is technical and anonymous: it describes a game session, not a person. It contains no name, no nickname and no identifier that could link the device to anyone. It is readable only by the app, is never sent over a network, and is deleted automatically when the app is uninstalled.

5. Android permissions

The app declares a single permission: android.permission.INTERNET.

This permission is required by the display component (WebView) the app is built on; the application code makes no network request. In practice, BugFatal Times behaves identically in airplane mode, from first launch through to world 100.

No other permission is requested: no storage, location, camera, microphone, contacts or notifications.

6. No third parties

The app embeds no third-party data-collection library:

• no ad network (no advertising SDK, no advertising identifier read);
• no analytics (no Firebase Analytics, no Google Analytics, no equivalent);
• no automatic crash reporting to an external service;
• no social network, no share button, no online leaderboard.

No data is therefore shared with any third party, sold, or used for advertising — a guarantee that is impossible to circumvent by construction, since no data leaves the device.

7. Children

BugFatal Times is a multiplication-tables learning tool aimed at children, primarily aged 7 to 12. That audience shaped its design.

• No personal data is collected from a child, which places the app in compliance with the GDPR (art. 8), the United States COPPA rule and the Google Play Families programme.
• No advertising, no commercial solicitation, no in-app purchases: a child cannot incur any spending.
• No interaction with other users, no third-party generated content, no outbound web links inside the game.

Parental consent is not required, since no personal data is processed at all.

8. Google Play's role

The app is distributed through Google Play. Google independently collects certain data when the app is downloaded, updated and run (install statistics, aggregated crash reports, Google account data), under the Google Privacy Policy, over which the publisher has no control and from which the publisher receives only aggregated, anonymous statistics.

9. Retention and deletion

Since no data is transmitted, there is nothing retained by the publisher and no deletion request to make.

To erase the app's local data:

1. Uninstall the app — everything goes with it; or
2. open Settings → Apps → BugFatal Times → Storage → Clear data, which resets progress without uninstalling.

10. Your rights

The GDPR rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability may be exercised at contact@bugfatal.com. As the publisher holds no data, an access request will receive a reasoned negative reply.

Complaints may be brought before the French supervisory authority, the CNIL — 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, cnil.fr — or the authority of your country of residence.

11. Changes

Should a future version of the app process any data — an optional online save, for instance — this policy would be updated before that version is published, and the change noted in the release notes. The date of the latest update appears at the top of the page.
